Petra
One of the
word's best ancient wonders, this 'lost' pink city is a huge

over if possible. Petra is about 150km from Amman, 80km from
Aqaba. Don't miss the 'Petra by Night' event that's on two
or three nights a week, involving 2,000 candles and live Bedouin
music but book at a hotel as soon as you arrive in the local
town, Wadi Musa.

theaters, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains
and city walls pierced by towers and gates remain in exceptional
condition.

Entry
Requirements:
- You need an entry visa
to Jordan. You can obtain single entry visas, valid for
1month, on arrival at any port of entry, except for the
King Hussein Bridge at the Jordan/Israel border. A single
entry visa costs 10 Jordanian Dinars
- You can extend your visa
up to three months at any police station after your arrival.
You are allowed to extend your stay in Jordan for a maximum
period of six months. If you do not extend the validity
of your visa, and stay in Jordan after your visa expires
you will be fined 1.5 Jordanian Dinars for each day you
overstay.
